Russian court to consider Strasbourg court 2 bln euro Yukos ruling
MOSCOW, Nov 11 (PRIME) -- The Russian Constitutional Court has admitted a claim of the Justice Ministry questioning the need to fulfill the European Court of Human Rights’ decision on compensation to shareholders of defunct oil company Yukos, as follows from documents seen by PRIME on Friday.
The claim consideration date has not been scheduled so far.
The European court earlier ruled that the Russian government must redeem 1.86 billion euros in losses to former owners of Yukos.
